This program takes an advanced look at how social networking, mobile communications, interactive media, and multimedia reporting can be most effectively utilized in different news organizations. Additionally, the program explores the logistics of reporting for different electronic media, such as broadcast television, online news. Students also get extensive, project based experience with the software tools that produce this content, learning the technical side of video production, photography, and digital publishing.

This certification is a credential that validates entry-level skills needed to plan, design, build, and maintain effective communications by using different forms of digital media. Photoshop enables users to animate video frames, paint and clone over multiple video frames, and import and export video files in a wide range of formats, engaging user experiences that create more accurate composites.
Site Development Foundations teaches students essential Web page development skills. Individuals will learn to develop Web sites using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Extensible HTML (XHTML). The coursework will instruct them to write code manually, as well as use graphical user interface (GUI) authoring tools. Students will also learn how to insert images, create hyperlinks, and add tables, forms and frames to Web pages.
